Front tire Question Need Help!

Does any one know where I can get 165SR15 for my 15x4 rims. Called around town and everyone says they don't make em anymore. I am looking for radial front tires for my street/strip car.

my local tire store got me some last year, but i'm in alabama. sorry, i don't know where you can find any, but i hadn't heard anything about them not making them anymore. btw, a 4 inch rim spreads them out a little, and i don't like how short they are on my malibu, if i had to do it over, i'd go taller. jmo.

Prices are not bad. Have to pay for shipping though. What other size tire would you recommend to fit on a 4" rim?

A lot of guys run the 185's up front. Comes out to be around 28" I think.

205/70/15 is what im going with now on my 4" rims i dont like how small the 165s look

185/60/15's? It shows those to fit min. 5" rim.

I thought about trying 185/60/15 I can get them locally but the overal height is 23.74" which is shorter than the 165/80/15 at 25.39". Now I am confused I don't think I want a shorter tire but it would be wider. Even the 185/65/15 are shorter at 24.47". What is everybody running for front tire sizes.

i saw in another thread someone running 185 80 15's and they look good. they were on a camaro. i have 165r15 and they are pretty short. they look ok on some cars, but i don't care for them on my malibu. good luck, let us know what you decide.

OK I couldn't find a 185/80/15 and I don't want to go shorter so I purchased the 165/80/15 tires.

Probably wouldn't be any worse than a 275/60/15 on a 7" rim.
