I found by assisting the crossmember up with the floor jack, I was able to "adjust" the floor enough to get my crossmember in after I notched it. A 5 lb hammer gently helped it along as well. Just little taps.

racecar77 said:I've had discussions with guys about this before. They say that my G-Force crossmember is too heavy. It is heavy, but my argument is that it doesn't just hold the transmission up. I think that it becomes a structural member and for sure ties the frame together. So what do you guys think? No disrespect to Iceman or other fabricators but I just think the G-Force is stronger. I'd love to get that weight out of my car, so someone please convince me that I'm wrong. Lee
