I have a chance to get a good deal on some new performance heads but they have 72cc combustion chambers. The engine I want to use them on is an 89 Chevy truck TBI 350.
If I remeber correctly the stock haeds have smaller chambers possibly 64cc or 56cc, so I would loose compression. Probably the best way to bring the compression back up would be flat top pistons.
To ensure that these heads will work for me, I'm hoping you guys can get me some concete info on the stock 350, such as:
1. actual head combustion chamber volume
2. the amount of dish on the factory pistons.
I want to keep compression where I can still use regular gas.
