HELP PLEASE!!!! Squeaky Speedo!

My Speedo cable or speedo in my 78 Bu is squeaking or chirping. The needle is bouncing a bit. Doesn't do it every time, but is driving me absolutely crazy! Anyone have this problem before or know of a fix for it? Thanks.

you can put some oil or grease into the cable. I had to do it on my 80 sumerset
