Hydroboost people!

yes it can be done i got one for my car. it bolted right up. there are only two things that you will have to do

1. the pushrod will have to be shorten and re-welded
2.when you get te hydroboost system off the astro van make sure that you get the hoses off of it also
what you will have to do is to get new hoses made and then have to have the two ends that fit into the hydroboost system will have to be welded on to the new ends to the new hose and you are done.

************ BUT MAKE SURE THE YOU PRE ALIGN THE HOSES SO THAT THAT LINE UP CORRECT********

Old topic I know, but I was at a car show with vendors today and a buddy of mine said he could get the setup for me on the cheap, I believe he said they were from Astro vans as well. Does anyone have any pictures of the rod that needs to be shortened? I'm also slightly curious how the plumbing is run with the steering box.

Get yourself some hoses from a diesel Malibu. You'll need a return hose from the unit to either the PS return line(T'ed into it) or get yourself a late model truck power steering reservoir that has a spot for the return line.(What I did)

If you get serious, i can get ya part numbers, etc.

Awesome I'd probably wind up with new hoses if I wound up with an Astro unit. I'll send you a PM when/if I get more figured out
