pulled out the back seat, what a surprise! now I know why they had the vent window siliconed shut...
do they make panels for this part?
is this a common place for it to rust out?
lucky me, i was scouting around the junkyard and found a 4 door, pulled up the back seat, it was spotless underneath. Now im gonna have to find a way to run a sawzall up there. cut and weld that motha in... \/
if thats the only area i envy you i have an 81 i lifted the carpet to weld in bucket seat mounts and discovered the floor sides at the rocker pinch welds have 3ft sections missing on both sides and the same panel your relacing is shot on mine to i think every panel from front to rear needs attention i found a 2 door cutlass and cut the rear half of it i used a cordless sawzawl and 2 batteries and several trips a really good way is to bring a small gas generator good luck
thats the only hole, i ts got a real small spot where the floor meets the firewall, but i can fix it with sheetmetal. I think im gonna bring a generator withe mt to cout out he floor section, ill have to borrow one from dad haha. Thanks for the tip!
started cutting it out today. lugged the heavy generator up the hill cut for about 15 minutes and the generator quit charging :x . ill have to try again another day. it should be fun gettin that body mount off
That was in the '80 I sold many years ago. Kickin' myself because it had a 455/TH400, solid dash, and a gauge cluster. Oh yeah, did I mention I sold it for $200??? :x
