Agreed with above. A stock rear for these cars will have a ratio that's a full point or more taller than your current one. In stock form a 267 V8 car would most likely have had in the neighborhood of a 2.41:1 rear end ratio. No, it won't roast the tires with those gears, but it's like having overdrive without an overdrive transmission.
Install is fairly simple- 4 control arm bolts, 4 bolts for the driveshaft u-joint, a brake line, 2 parking brake cables and then bleed the rear brake cylinders out again after you're done installing it.
