Has anyone looked into any of these. I wonder if they are the F-body or vette. They picture it with the caddy engine cover.

LS1 and LS6 engines. http://paceperformance.com/index.asp...&ProdID=248707 The kit w/o AC simply eliminates the AC compressor, the tensioner and the belt. Pace has it (w/o AC) for $470 including "150Amp Alternator, Power steering pump, mounting brackets, pullies, hardware, belt, tensioner, and electical connector for alternator."

Thanks

Tim.

I pulled it off of Pro-touring. So let me try something different.

See if this works http://paceperformance.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=248707

And did read a little into the discribtion and it is for the caddy. But it also says that it will not fit on the iron blocks. Does anyone know why this is?

Only thing I can think of is that the aluminum block in Vette's, CTS-V, GTO, and SSR have different mounting holes. I cant be sure of that though. But look at the pics on this site http://www.golenengineservice.com/html/ls.html You can see there are several bolt hole differences between the aluminum and iron blocks, at least on the front drivers side. BTW- it states they are factory Vette parts.

Yup, the truck motors dont have all the same bolt holes that the car motors have. You can still bolt up the car brackets, but you either have to leave one bolt out or drill and tap a bolt hole, I forget, But I know alot of people on ls1tech and performancetrucks that have used f-body/y-body acc. on a iron block.

I am getting a 2001 Camaro in trade for my 1968 Barrcuda. The camaro has an LS6 in it. I was looking at putting in either a 5.3, or 6.0. The car is coming with STS turbo not installed. So I was going to put in an iron block and keep the LS6 for my Malibu.

Long story short, just wanted to know if the stock acc. would fit on the iron block.

Thanks guys.

Tim.

I used the stock camaro stuff on my iron truck motor, I drilled and tapped the one hole required, no big deal...did it with the motor in the car...

those accessories may or may not work. depending on where your motor is placed in car. if set back farther then yeah it shouldn't be a problem. mine a little forward and my powersteering pump was real close.
