Is there anything special you had to do with your malibu to make it street legal and for insurance? As i am starting with a v6 malibu doing to a 4.8. so the vin says its a v6 after I do the swap it will be a v8 and if I get into an accident I think I will get screwed by cops and insurance. So im just wondering what you guys did to straighten all this out.

Best bet is probably go collector insurance,that said mine is under a v6 81 bu and if anything happens i would just buy it back. Probably wouldnt even get a rebuilt title in indiana , but it varies widely by where your at.
