Mechanical fuel pump question

I have an 1986 El Camino with a 402 big block. 750 cfm and a mild engine . It's not a big horsepower machine. Probably around 300-400 HP. I am replacing the mechanical fuel pump and wanted to know if there is really a difference between all these different ones you can get at local auto parts stores.

If you are going to use the factory hard line to the carburetor, carefully match the new one to the old one. The last new pump I got had the bottom clocked in the wrong position; I had to exchange it for another.

Other then that is that the only thing to watch for? I did not know if there was a different? The new one I looked at was exactly the same outside

If your car has a return line, you need the pump with 2 inlets and 1 outlet.

Delphi is the source of OEM pumps as far as I know.

Apart from that, get the one that has the best warranty.
