Gonna start buying parts for my LS swap & wondering which fits better, GM Musclecar or CTS-V oil pan? Musclecar one is cheaper but wondering if the sum is still too low.

THanks

Hey Kevin,
Your sig says you are using Pacesetter headers, are they for a G body with an LS motor, or F body headers?
Thanks,
Scot

Those headers are for 4th gen F-bodies. Here's the cheapest price I found for them:

Actually I thought I bought mine cheaper but maybe not.

Fit it good? Which motor mounts you use?
Thanks,

I Really dont have a build thread just a progress thread. The CTS pan hangs 1/2 inch below crossmember. I will post up underside pics next time I put the car on the lift.

Hey Kevin, Is that the stock truck alt location? It fits under the hood without problem?

I was able to get the alternator to clear with the stock hood (truck accessory setup). I think it depends on which motor mounts you use, though. I recently did the swap, see here for info regarding oil pan and accessory information: http://www.maliburacing.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=34

I've read both yay and nay, as far as a truck brackets working under stock hood. It might clear if you use the transdapt mounts, but I know it wont clear a stock hood if u use the BRP mounts. They raise the motor up a bit.
