I'm putting a cheater nitrous plate system in my car.I have a 427 stroker Bbc,iron heads, valves are 225/188. it has a Holley strip dominator intake thats been worked a bit, 800 holley dp.Going to start with a 150 shot and work my way up.

My question is,do I need to use a spacer between the manifold and nitrous plate? If so, what size?

Thanks Sean

nope,you do not NEED a spacer ..........
Spacer's do sometimes add more power to a engine though
minimal at best.......watch your hood clearence too..

I probly have enough clearence but if there's no advantage then I won't bother. If I want more power i'll just use a bigger shot.LOL

Thanks for the info

Adding to the ? If you were to run a spacer with a plate, is the plate above or below the spacer?

I would say run the spacer below the plate. Carb/plate/spacer/intake...

I have another ? If you are running a four hole spacer with an rpm airgap should I change to an open spacer?

Only way to know is to put them on and make some passes or dyno pulls, test and tune... Generally opens spacers tend to work better with dual planes but its all dependent on what the motor wants. Only way to really know is on a dyno or making passes with a tuned combo to start with.
