Probably don't have to go back. Just toward the driver side a hair. Hard to move it all in small increments but it can be done.

how do you go side to side? my holes are circles... do I need to hog them out?

You have to loosen the mounts on the frame and jack the motor up just enough to take the weight off them. Then you can slide the clam shells over with the engine attached. Just do this till you get it set where you want then tighten the mounts on the frame back down.
