slicks/backspacing

can anybody help me? i have a 1984 buick regal that i want to run a 29.5x10.5 slick with a 15x10 greg weld rims out back. i know i need a frame notch but how far in to go plus wheel tubs . i've heard i also need a 5.5 backspacing its a stock length bolt in 9" rear for a regal. am i going in the right direction and its going to strictly be a drag car
