Steering box / pump question?

I just installed a Monte SS quick ratio box in my 81 Malibu.
The steering feels heavy, almost non power assist, at low RPM's.
Do I need the Monte SS power steering pump also, I think I read somewhere they are higher volume pumps?

The quick ratio boxes do have a higher effort, but it shouldn't be too hard to turn. Everything's bled? You probably need to increase the pump pressure. Lookieheer:
