I was wondering wht are some of you guys getting for suspension travel? With my car just sitting on the ground the height is 25 1/8". With the car jacked up and wheels just barely touching I get 28 1/4 " So from what I'm figuring I have 3 1/8 travel. And I even disconnected the Shocks and measured again. Also the rubber snubber in the upper A arm is removed. What are you guys getting for travel? :-k

My car with stock style setup up front had between 5 to 5 1/2" of extension travel from ride height.

How much air gap is there between the frame and the lower A-arm bump stop?

Will have to check that. I have small block springs in there now {big block} no coils cut. But am thinking of changing springs to moroso, and tryin to get the car 2" lower {which should give me 5"travel?}

Around six inches total travel from bump stops to full droop is about right. The shock can limit or enhance suspension travel. My guess is your 3-1/8" is fine.

What are you trying to do with the travel? Drag?

Well right now I don't think I'm taking full advantage of the front suspension [sitting a little high] when hitting the back tires. It has stock small block springs and 2" drop spindles with qa1 shocks. I'd like to lower the front of the car about 2 " by switching to Moroso front springs. I'm looking to upgrade powerwise next season and am looking at my current suspension setup. Just want to make some small changes to help out before the motor change.

my Qa1's are adjustable. i do not have lower control arm relocation brackets but my rear [quick performance ford 9" does have multiple position holes for the lower control arms. I have them set level. Are you suqqesting that I try the lower holes?

Hey Malibu. Yes, you should try the lower holes. How many choices below level do you have? Can you post a pic?

Single or double adjustable for the QA1's? And where do you have them set now? Do you have both fronts and rears?

Sorry for all the questions but I get into this stuff. I love helping cars launch...
