Please do not follow that wiring schematic, nor the cable sizing. I did 15 years ago and it's not up to current race car wiring contruction standards.

BTW, your battery mount kit is the cheapest part of relocating the battery in the trunk. The rewire shown in the above link, the parts alone cost $500 for the wire, lug terminals, heat shrink, fuse & fuse holders and cut-off switch.

All the wiring with my car is inside the car as with any production vehicle. This protects the wiring from anything on the road/track that could potentially damage the wires or cause premature corrosion of the wire/connections.

Too many case grounded devices to isolate for a ground side switch.


I didn't study that diagram too close, but for a car to be track legal, the alternator must be isolated from the switched power, so the engine will shut off, even with the alternator charging, as it is shown.
