Oh yeah, you guys like pics, sorry here are some of my BBC:
I know, two bolt main, but this was already a stress tested unit from a drag boat.
0.100 over 454, 12.7-1 pistons on balanced truck rods with Wave-loc's, steel crank, Lunati solid roller 0.738/0.714, 990 square ports....right now need to pic between Strip Dominator Tall or Victor 454-R. I have a 950 HP carb I got from a local drag racer when he switched over to e85.
Piston top after cutting in some relief:
Went with the Milodon pan, oil pump, brace and such. A dirt-track racer had an oil pump tester/dyno, not even two whole turns and this pump built pressure, really heavy casting. I read all the stuff about Melling oil pumps breaking so I did my own test. Might have went over kill with the stud and brace kit, but, it was cheap.
Next comes either a 4500 foot-brake convertor or a 5500 spragless in a 400 turbo. I bought a Moser 9 inch housing and axles. Found a used Strange 9 inch carrier locally, leaning towards 4.11 with the 28 x 9 slicks.
By the way, thanks to all you guys, I bought most of the stuff for this car from this website!
