Assembled another T5 for the Malibu. Shortly after installing the used trans I picked up, 4th gear synchro was MIA. This is the only time I have ever bought something used and put it in my car without tearing it apart and inspecting/rebuilding the item and it bit me right in the *ss. I had already been gathering parts, and with some great reference material and guidance from t5montecarlo, I came up with a v8 t5, with a 5th gear ratio of .56 :shock: .

I drove my Monte Carlo for the first time down the road... Only one little incident... Lost a muffler....lol. It was just clamped on (temp exhaust to drive to muffler shop). Actually ran very good and the suspension feels great!!

I picked up a B&M pro ratchet yesterday in almost new shape for 75 bucks so I installed it today in my 84 MC console with the factory shift plate I will put up pics tomorrow
