I took her for a little drive. First gear was ...blow the tires off. Second gear was blow the tires off and hold her on the rev limiter until 50 mph if front of neighborhood kids.
Then I just took a nice cruise. 25 miles = 1/4 tank of gas on new 850 DP. Car drives, shifts, and acts like it has for the last 5 years. I love beating the $h!t out of it.
I built her tough and dive her to PIECES!!! What else is the car for?

STARTED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2 WEEKS. HALF PUMP TO THE FLOOR, AND FIRED RIGHT UP WITH NO PROBLEMS. ALSO BOUGHT A PAIR OF MIRRORS FROM A REGAL FOR THE BU!!

Last week I took the oil pan off the motor to check the bearings, and found #1 main, and ,#2 rod bearing had some marks in them. So I pulled the crank out on Wednesday and took it to the shop to be polished. Yesterday I cleaned all the parts with the parts washer I also purchased yesterday. Hopefully today I can take the front bumper off the car and see what I need to do to mount the new fiberglass bumper.

Took off the stock hood...and drove the bu to ground up, to get a 2inch cowl hood. Installed it enough to get it to shut and get it home. Its ****ing bitter cold out!! Still have to adjust things. Good for now.......or until I get it to somewhere warm!

started pulling the motor and tranz . making a list of things i want to do to it. and the 81 bu is on hold but i will be pecking on getting the 406 bottom end togther soon so it is done.

Finally got around to working on the car again. SS transmission lines and cooler installed, fuel pump wired up, brake booster installed, griffen radiator installed and figured out which radiator hoses should work. It's getting real close to being fired up
