I got to work on the frame today. Got all of the TNT chassis braces welded on, and got both sides of the frame cut, and the drivers side welded back up. Still need to cap the ends. And take a little more out of the passenger side (glad I test fit the rear in there!!) Anyhow, onto the pictures! We all like pictures :)

Once I learn to weld at least close to that I figure I'll be good \:D/

Eh, those welds are not all that great. There were some gaps that I had to fill, so lots of starting and stopping. Then, they had undercoating on the frame, so spent a good portion of time cleaning that off, but in hindsight, wish I would have wiped the areas down with lacquer thinner, would have gotten a much nicer, cleaner weld. Oh well. Strength wise they arent going anywhere, just dont look the prettiest.

picked up some PTFE fittings and 10' of -6 hose to plumb these together.
the hydro-booster (AZ#70211 $265.00) can handle both large and small bore master cylinders metric O-ring fittings. i already have a large bore (1.417") MC in the car. its really tooo big for stock brake system.. that problem will work itself out when the bigger disc brakes get put on. power steering pump is (#7137) is off a 2000 chevy 3500HD.. and compatible with the dmax accessory mounting brackets. and march's mid mount PS brackets.. plus it has a bigger tank..

Today I'm watching it rain on mine.
rainy%20day%20monte%205-21-14-L.jpg

But a week or so ago,I had to tear my fuel cell apart for my nitrous and clean it.Water had gotten in & made a mess of my whole fuel side of the fogger.
Solenoids were full of junk,a few jets were clogged, the blue pump was locked up,and 2 fogger nozzles were clogged, and the fuel filter was nasty.
What a mess! Put a bottle in and found it wouldn't rev clean on nitrous.Spent two 4 hour days fixing my mess.I have AN fittings with screen in them where the fuel ine
attaches to the solenoid, they looked bad too!Turns out the roll over vent on the cell was on wrong.Bought the cell used, and it was mounted wrong. The part that's black and stands a little over a inch tall
in the picture had to go inside the cell, then a vent line attached to it.All fixed now.

A couple current pics & a few older of the system.

Not my Monte but here is last nights track outing. Well I finally made it to the track last night with the blazer. I just went to get comfortable with the new power. Do some burnouts, maybe see how it leaves. Test the transbrake, just test. No hero passes, no best of, no crazy sh*t. Well that went right to hell on the first pass. I unloaded, teched in and went to the lane. In the land, my passengers side window fell out of the track, sh*t! Went up did a good burnout. Everything felt great. I lined it up in the beams, cut a .055 light foot brakeing it from a idle. Not to bad I'm thinking. See my light stab it and the front end comes up. No worries I'm thinking, after all I can still see the end of the rack over the hood. sh*t, it keeps coming up, now the tree line and the grand stands fall under the view of the hood and side windows, I'm ****ed! I attempt my first effort at a peddle job and slams back to earth. I get back in it and run a 11.54 at 120 short shifting at 5,000 and letting off at 1000 foot mark. On the rear tire, it cut a 1.562 60 footer. None of these numbers tell the tale but it does show I have a animal on my hands.

One more thing, as far as chassis settings: Shocks, springs, limiters, even the three year old tires, I changed nothing from how it was set up to run 12.2 at 109.

Well it turns out from initial inspection, my fender gap opened up about a 1/2 inch, my wheels are both back in the opening, the lower arms appear pushed back, the starters is on the frame, the mid plate is tacoed and who know what else I will find when it comes apart for repairs.

Repair start tomorrow.
