what rear slick

80 malibu, bigblock, 3300 lbs. I hear about people running stiff sidewall slicks on a heavy car, what is the reason behind that? Just want to know what slick would work best on my car before I go buy a pair. Stiff sidewall? regular sidewall? thanks

I know its a mustang board but here is a test on the MT ET Street 3053 and the 3053S.

I will probally be trying a set of 3053S's on my Malibu this spring.
