I have looked and looked but havent found a clear anwser. Right now the car has 15x8 rally wheel with a 275/60/R15 tire. I have drove it and went over bumps and everything else (it doesnt rub at all) I'm looking into getting some Weld wheels but not sure what size back spacing (sorry to sound like a broken record, I'm new here lol) some say 3.5" and others say 4.5" just dunno?

Just measure the ones you got. I'm pretty sure the stock 8 inch rally wheels are 4 1/8.

good advice. 4 inch bs should be ok. alot of guys run 3.5 with the stock width rear. might have to trim the lip off. every car is different, but if you go with what is already workin for you then you can't go wrong. ;) nice bu, btw, looks familiar.

I'm building a 383 stroker for it right now (in the works), longtube headers and duel exhaust, build the trans up, moser 9" direct fit rear. I hope to out do my last build (camaro)

This may sound goofy, but if you are using the Welds, I would use a 7" rim instead of an 8" Welds only come in 3-1/2" and 4-1/2". If you use a 7" rim with 3-1/2" backspacing, it pulls the centerline of the 275/ 60 15 in just enough to avoid rubbing on the outer lip on corners. Plus it makes the tire look a little "fatter" on the rim. That is what I did on my camino

Thats an idea! My Camaro has Draglites (at one time) and I got the rears off a 85 Monte and they were 7's with 3.5" bs (cleared just fine) but might do that, I measured my rally's they are 4" of bs. and summit/jegs only offer Aluma Stars with that (and they are 400 each almost  ) so 7's might be the way to go cause I wanna re use the tires as they are in like new shape :D
