we run them at about 2850. they work fine (when they work) we had a long on going problem with not having any brakes. then we "thought" we fixed the brakes. on very next pass the car went an easy 10.0 at 137 and at the big end it locked up the right right rear. that sent the car spinning backward and into a corn feild and proceded to roll 8 or 9 times. but we still have them on there! that was a mechanical error, or so we were told.
Well I was gonna go Strange but I'm having 2nd thoughts.
Wilwood told me that at 3200 wet n ready and having a chute their solid drag kit would be ok. Now Strange has NO weight limits on theirs and I don't understand why not as any other drag brake is weight rated.
My biggest thing is price.. Strange=$1200, Wilwood=$800(with a hookup)
i will be running my new 25.5 car with wilwoods. medium duty on the front(have TRZ camaro/nova spindles) and there drag brakes on the rear. i ran all last year with the stock disc brakes up front and wilwood drag brakes on the rear with no problems.
Not sure what kind of hookup you have but give Autofab racecars In Md a call.I got my rear Wilwood kit from them, smoking deal,Just got my new Afco rad from them too.
