Roller cam/lifters

Post by bowtie81 » Sun Jul 28, 2019 5:00 pm

Hey Guys,
I just jumped over to a roller cam/lifters. I've gone through the settings a couple times now but it still sounds like a loose lifter, everything is tight the way it should be. Are they normally noisy? I was told to run 5w30 for the initial start up.
Am I missing something, I plan on running a ticker oil after.

Are they solid roller lifters? All solid lifters are noisier than hydraulic flat tappets. I have also heard of complaints about Morel Hydros ticking, but no reports of them failing.

If hey are the morels or lunati, or howards, look into hydraulic roller oil on the internet. Chris Straub has put multiple posts about the "right" oil to use in them.
