I just got done mocking up my setup, BRP mounts with Pacesetter F-body headers. Both driver and passenger sides will need a little help from the hammer to clear the frame nicely. I just couldn't justify spending $700 for a set of headers. I bought the painted versions and after the engine is in...
The wheels are basically a "knock off" of TTII's, Coys, and Foose's classic 5-spoke wheel. I really like them and I'm wondering if anyone has a set of these with LS1 brakes. I know the TTII's have problems with the LS1 brakes so I want to know before I order a set of wheels, if they will cause...
Those headers are for 4th gen F-bodies. Here's the cheapest price I found for them:

Actually I thought I bought mine cheaper but maybe not.
Good call! I'm going to get the radiator set in it's place tomorrow after trimming the core support and rad fins and probably do this and build another rad support brace like the one I made, to clear the cooler.
It's actually a Northern rad. I found it over on LS1tech in a guys turbo LQ9 build into his 71' Judge GTO clone. The sizes were the same as our radiators so I picked this one up. Fits pretty decent, just needs some trimming to fit. I think tonight I'll trim the bottom fins off of the radiator...
Problem is that it's too wide and the fitting is actually past the support. I'll get some better pictures tomorrow. I am going to remove the condensor and see how the rubber pads on the support are held on, and possible move them inward, seeing as I need to modify the support/radiator so my...
I'm doing a new swap and since LS engines use same side radiator hose openings, I went with a same side radiator. However the radiator tanks are larger, as is the core, and really is more of a universal fit radiator. The LS specific for a G-body was close to $650
So where is everybody...
I don't beleive you can use VVT with a manual transmission. However it's very simple to switch to a standard cam setup. Lifters, valley cover, cam and timing set
Great thread! Your build is very similar to mine. Did you have any problems with your fuel tank after you put it in? People are having problems with the pump kicking off because the pressure can't escape from the tank. Seems like the problems are only with the 4.3 TBI fuel tank though.
Totally...
One of the trans bolts doesn't bolt up the the Gen III/IV engines. I would assume the adapter would fix that. However you don't need the bolt considering most don't use an adapter.
I used the SEM shadow blue on mine and I think it turned out great. I think there are two different dark blues though depending on what year and model you have
I wish I saw this earlier, I got my CTS-V pan for something like $150 shipped from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com. That was giving them part numbers, so there is always the chance it's not the right part.
So I assume you can't use the stock tie rods with this and will have to cut and weld to get it to align? Would you see any benefit with this on a street car? Noticeable difference?
For the GN bushing, is there just one on the driver side or is there one on both sides? Also, what's the purpose of the dummy bushing?
For a street car, would poly be ok? Does the aftermarket bushing kits come with new grade 8 bolts?
And also, what's the best way to prevent snapping a bolt...
