    ls brakes?

I believe people have put front brakes on g-body or blazer spindles, but I've never heard of f-body spindles.

    Electronic HVAC retrofit into G-Body

It still uses the vacuum lines with some sort of electronic valve control I believe, probably similar to what this guy used to swap digital controls in from a mid '90s Caprice

    Electronic HVAC retrofit into G-Body

I've seen issues with the newer ones too (in our '02 Silveraro actually)... but I've never seen an issue in the old style ones... my '92 is still kickin' around fine, and my parents' 2 past Suburbans never had problems.

    does anyone drift?

I think he tried drifting, but he has several videos of auto-x he did with his Malibu, I'm not sure if he still has it... last I knew it was running something like a 406 and T10 trans. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIlTN3R4S7ko99p9ogIZa1Q

    A/C Vacuum Control Valve

Looks like I'm mistaken on the control donor, but it appears they still used the awful vacuum control into the '90s on some cars. My plan involves the controls for the late '80s/early '90s GM trucks (GMT400 platform), possibly the late '90s if the controls are still the same and the control...

    Electronic HVAC retrofit into G-Body

For now it's just planning stages, but recent posts have me thinking about it again... eventually my plan is to swap a more modern HVAC control setup into the Malibu, though it will look slightly out of place having a different button style than the factory. From another post:

    A/C Vacuum Control Valve

Something I found while looking around... I did know some G-Bodies had electronic hvac control, but it was apparently all a ruse. I'll have to find the link, but someone retrofit one into an El Camino and there is actually an electronically controlled valve that STILL runs vacuum to the ductwork...

    A/C Vacuum Control Valve

None of my Malibus had their lines hooked up, so I wasn't sure what went to where under the hood. I had one hooked up and heard vacuum from the control switch area... never did get it to move around right but I wasn't attempting a full revamp of the system either... this next time I will, and...

What did U do to your G-body today??

Oh... hey... you have an engine in that thing! :D PS I want to do something very similar to that with mine. I'm hoping my dad will do this in the near future when we finally get everything moved into the big barn... he has a LOT of random sockets - also has a lot of other stuff in a big...

What did U do to your G-body today??

I have little rust-like looking spots showing through on my frame, I used one of Eastwood's kits - name escapes me at the moment. I don't know if I failed on the prep work or what, but for fit & finish I can't say I'm too impressed - though I'm not a body man & may have messed up somewhere in...

What did U do to your G-body today??

TL;DR - fan clutch died, working on electric fan install Don't think I updated here... the fan clutch started to take a dump - originally run on the 4.3 in my '92 GMC, then on the 383 in the same truck - so I swapped the fans between it and the Malibu since it also has the same serpentine...

    My Pro Touring conversion

At least that deformation will be on the side only you can see  I have all my original harness inside (a/c, etc.). It's a bear up around the steering column area... I forgot all about it until I pulled/reinstalled my dash recently.

Light steering & 'pulling' on uneven surfaces

That's another thing I plan on, u-joints instead of a rag joint.

Light steering & 'pulling' on uneven surfaces

I aligned it at a shop I worked at a few years ago. It wasn't perfect but I believe the alignment computer had everything in the 'green' zone besides caster on one side. I would have added some more shims to try to get it perfect, but ran out of threads on the uca cross-bar bolts.

Light steering & 'pulling' on uneven surfaces

I'm only at the point of getting it to drive down the road & look decent for the wedding, but I have a list of things I want to look into afterwards. One thing is the current crappy steering situation. Front parts are tight (tie rods, pitman arm, etc.), but the steering feels almost 'floaty'...

    3-link using uca 'ears'... strength?

For now I'll just plan on that route I think, unless I manage to find one locally for a decent price. I've seen them elsewhere online but I decided to bit the bullet and go my own route... I only paid $75 for the rear, gonna go at it piece by piece (narrow, carrier/gears, axles, brakes). I want...

    3-link using uca 'ears'... strength?

Well that just looks weird... I understand the pivot for the leaf spring, but I can't understand why not stick with a 4-link :-k :-s
