I believe about 4 7/8" is going to be about your max, possibly 4 3/4" to be safe, but I think you'll also have to massage the wheel well lips too... it's doable, but it will be tight.

It'll be fine, better actually because you'll be able to get the pan rails 100% clean, when the trans is upright (installed) the fluid always likes to run down and collect right where the gasket goes, making it very hard to get an oil-free seal.

I do NOT miss that part! I enjoyed the welding and painting and stuff, but the wire wheeling took soooo long and I had so many iron boogers...

It does not come with bolts, I used the same kit. I believe they are 10mm bolts but I'm not 100% sure. With all new rubber suspension bushings and poly mounts mine still rides just fine... a little firm, but no more than a newer car.

I will be running efi (probably TBI to keep a carbed look) eventually, but with that I'll be able to set the desired rpm to whatever I want in the tune, along with controlling electric fans, etc.
