Thanks you for this post. I was looking for an upgrade for my front brake's and the Baer and Wilwood op did cross my mind,but I do like the fact that in a pinch I can go to any auto part store and parts. Just in case your out somewhere and the "sh!! happens" kicks in. I can go and get a caliper...
A gov lock works when one wheel starts to slip the locking mec locks the other wheel in or when there is alot of torq applied. I had one in my other car,I didn't like it so much because you never know when it's engaged or disengaged. Yes you should use a posi additive with the gear oil.
Yeah,they all show the same thing. I can't seem to get my park lights or my side marker lights to come on. I have new bulbs,fuses,and flashers. Everything is grounded correctly,I just put a new switch in yesterday.
Yeah the guy I got it from didn't know a thing about these cars.He had his "machanic" fix eveything on the car,they rigged the header panel to work.The radiator is an AutoZone plastic/aluminum deal,that I will be selling. The 6 is coming out in its place will be.....

You have to cut the axle flange then drill a hole to mount the disk brake bracket.I don't want to go that rought. If I want to remove it and go back to drum if something were to happen.I have two GN 8.5 rear ends both with Limited slip 3:42 gearing.
