I understand putting a lock-up in a 700,but a 350?That makes no sense.

I know about the vacuum and the cable,it's the plug that got me puzzled. I've never seen a 350 trans with one.What's good about a lock-up converter? Thanks for the info.

I bought a 81 malibu stock v6/350 trans. I'm puzzled on the trans,it has a plug like a 700r4 and a vacumm module. Can anyone tell me about this trans? What is the plug for? Does this trans have a lock-up converter?Can I use this in a hi-performance application?? I need pros and cons on this...

I think I'll go with the bolt on set up.I'll just do the S-10 set up in the front with a line lock for the rear when I want to lay a lil rubber. :lol:

Ok,if I go 40 over on the 400 that would be a 4.165 bore right? And 60 over would be 4.185?

I need the stock bore sizes for a 400 sbc,350 sbc,and 305 sbc. I'm getting all three motors and the guy tells me there virgin blocks,never been cut or raced.

I put the gasket on and now I see where it's rally leaking from. The sides of the oil pan are not sealing properly,I think the lips of the pan are bent.

I just put a new one piece gasket on my oil pan. Where the oil pan and the timing chain cover meets,I have a drip.This is the second time I've used these gaskets and I keep having the same problem. I think you hit the nail on the head. I built a 11.1 406sbc with stock rods and crank,I can't run nothing under 93oct,but there are some people on here that can run 87-92oct, I could never understand how or why.Has anyone done any reserch on that?I really would love to know,they don't sell 93oct...
