Pypes Race Pro Dual Exhaust System

Personally I like my Pypes system. I didn't have much trouble installing it on the car either, aside from it being my first aftermarket system & figuring out the best method to putting it all together. For the headers, I put mine in from the top on the passenger side, and from the bottom on...

    Did I "F" up ?

My understanding is some have warmed the balancer in an oven to slide it on.

    Heck, I'm considering converting my '92 Sierra to a 5-speed :D

    Reproduction clutch fork

Saginaw/T10/Muncie will be the easiest. The input/output shafts will be the biggest difference.

What do you think of this color?

True. I think it will look good with some of the neutral colors though (black, tan, gray, brown, maybe green)

What do you think of this color?

Spotted it over on GBF. It's brown. It's different. I like it. :) Car is a Toyota Venza, the "official" color is "Sunset Bronze Mica".

    Hurst shifter fun...

Ah-HA! Different shifter bodies are used for '70-'73 and '74-'81 F-Bodies, requiring different sticks. '74-'81 actually uses the same as a G-Body, and the '70-'73 models move the shifter ball over 1.18" further than the 1" for a G-Body stick. They are measured from the centerline of the...

    Hurst shifter fun...

I was looking at the catalog and from what I saw the shifter ball is about 1" closer to the driver than a G-Body handle... I'm pretty sure measurements were taken from the mounting point of the stick, but I'll check again.

    diesel turbos ??

Seeing that the motors are ~5.9L, I don't see how it couldn't be some benefit, but I don't know what potential they have being an OE unit.

I'm not too concerned about the handle. I'm actually thinking about possibly getting a late 2nd gen. F-Body stick, it moves the ball over slightly further than the G-Body one.

    help please

Far as headers and mechanical linkage, last I'd looked (a LONG time ago) nobody had them, but I never planned on a BBC so I've never paid much attention. All G-Bodies had mechanical linkage: 1 bracket bolted to the frame with 3 sheetmetal bolts that held a ballstud, and another is threaded into...

    Hurst shifter fun...

I just noticed this post  I'd been up for a long time when I was posting all this, so I don't remember a lot of it in detail  I think my intention was for the Hurst shifter that is made to fit the G-Bodies. I do have the 3-speed Saginaw still that has a round stick like you...

    Fuel pump wiring

I think they use smaller than that from the factory, so yeah, I'd use it, at the smallest 12-gauge

    Standard/Heavy Duty brakes???

Looks like the only major difference is the booster. I can only find one master cylinder listed for any given year. Also, for anyone curious, the listed bore size for power brakes is 24mm, and manual brakes is 21.4375.
