Other pump options would be a pump for a 96-98 350 vortec R code suburban...

I don't believe this would work, I've changed the pump/sending unit in a '99 Subur... nevermind  maybe it was changed for '99... Anyway, a '99 won't work because the pump is integral with the sending unit.

The 99 pump is different. They did put it inside of the fuel sender assembly. But you can use it if you take the sender assembly apart and take the pump out. The pump that I used in my conversion was from a 2000 and although the dealer will only sell the complete fuel sender you can buy the pump separetly(SP?) on e-bay. The only problem is the pump has 2 outputs, the main one and a smaller one for the venturi system, you have to block off the second smaller output with a brass fitting that has a small (1/16") hole drilled in it.

I know this is an old thread but I have a question. I found a Monte Carlo at the local yard with the tank already removed & in the trunk. It looks like someone dropped the tank to get pump out of it. The tank has some surface rust but I checked & its solid. After a little cleaning it will look good as new. Let me know if this is the tank & parts I need for my LSx swap
