hey, looking for some advice-

i bought a car and it came with a mosier bolt in 9" housing and axles-

ok, the prob is my car is a 1978 malibu wagon-g body
the rearend is for a 64-67 chevelle. I already have the rearend installed and
painted and bought the right off set wheels for the wider housing and installed
speedway motors upper and lower control arms for a g-body

my question is-i probably need 64-67 chevelle upper control arms? correct?

thanks in advance

the only way i know of is to buy the southside machine control arm kit for that swap.i don't believe that a body arms is what the kit contains.i maybe wrong.i'm sure someone else will chime in with another solution.

The location & angle of the upper mounting Ears on the Housing is different between the G & A Body. You need the Swap UCA's like for installing an A-Body 12-Bolt into a G-Body.
I think Iceman has them also. http://www.maliburacing.com/iceman/

thanks alot guys. It looks like i need an upper control arm from
a 68-72 a body that is 10.25" long.

looking on jegs website, they said the g-body upper arms are
11.25" long and the 64-67 a-body is 12.75" long but 68-72 is 10.25"
long.

does anybody know is this is a true fact on the lengths?

thanks

I don't think you caught the gist. The angles on the upper control arm mounts on the housing are at different angles than those of the upper control arm mounts in the car. The upper control arms you need will almost appear bent in relation to the mount holes.

Another way to describe it, it will line up sort of like how an open end wrench looks. The handle straight, the open end part is not square in relation to the handle, neither is it at a right angle. Its twisted 20-30* degrees.
