No problem transformer.

Actually my car is light blue metallic. It defintely sounds like you have some work ahead of you to get your car going but that's half the fun dancin_banana.gif . I am in the same boat though trying to get mine ready to go by late spring/early summer. All my suspension and interior work is done, now I just need to get my LQ4 put together and dropped in. If only money grew on trees ](*,). Have you used those BRP headers before? Those are what I am planning on using too. I am also going to use their mounts with a Iceman tublar trans crossmember for my th400.

As far as posting pictures on this site you have to host them somewhere like photobucket and then copy one of the links from the picture to your post.

I run the BRP headers, they work well, but check around, as they are pricey and there are others that will fit just as well, and not cost as much.

I looked into the engine problem you were talking about, and you are correct, the pre 01 engines (98-00) had a different crank which does mean slight fitment issues.

The BRP headers look really nice and ceramic coated too...as you know I haven't fit them in my car yet, but I haven't heard any bad things about them. I picked up a set off Ebay for 230.00 for the midlengths... so deals can be found... but it took me awhile to find em...

I think there are some new motor mounts over at RetroLSX.com in the works for G-bodies... He (shawn) may not have released them yet but he said he's work'n on em..and they are supposed to work with the BRP hedders ...so if you haven't bought motor mounts yet, you may want to wait to see what they are going to look like. When I spoke with him about them he said they were going to be a stronger design and cheaper. But then again, I haven't seen any more about them, and I haven't called 'em back either.

The crank on the pre '01 6.0's are also a different part # but I thought I read on one of the LS1 sites that guys have been having issues with pre '03 Lq4s... dont know... at this point I really dont care too much either because I got this engine so cheap... I am going to make it work... its a 6.0 with 317 heads... good enough...

Hope to see the Malibu around town some time d'79

Mine is an 02 and I haven't had any problems with it at all, well minus my usual I beat on it too hard, but usually its the suspension and transmission that I'm having problems with, never the engine itself.

I hope shawn can get something going, i'd like to take the monte to him for the t56 upgrade, maybe, we'll see though, if I've got the money thats what I'd like to go for.

Glad to see you're making shopping progrees!
