The 6.0 is coming out in a couple of months for sure. I just cant decide what to do with it.

At a minimum, im doing heads/cam and leaning towards a set of Trick Flows. Not sure on cam yet. If I do that, ill probably just go 403 honestly. Then theres always the procharger option and the new Vortech VTS supercharger caught my eye, but theres no way that thing is fitting under my hood. Maybe a magnacharger instead?

If I go with boost, I want to stay under $10k which might not be possible really after I factor in a new bottom end and all the little crap that adds up. Turbo is out of the question.

550 HP or more would be nice and is doable with a 403, but ive been saying forever how I want to run some boost. Whataya guys think?

I've been toying with the idea of running the L92 heads. For the money u can easily make 550hp N/A with a mild cam. But then again a turbo on any LS motor would be wild.

You sir, are power hungry
I agree 500-550 is easy to hit with a cam & L92 heads (needs a new intake though I believe), but then again, there's that supercharger whine... :D

I gotta wonder why rule out a turbo??? Build a forged 370 (stock crank, forged rods and pistons) get the 317's ported, a decent turbo cam and 10 psi from a 78mm turbo and say hello to an easy 600 rwhp.

Dont know much about turbos. Dont like all the plumbing. Also, I just dropped about $800 on headers. Turbos just aren't for me right now.

Im really leaning towards a big inch NA set up I think. I was poking around the Texas speed site and saw a 427 LS3 long block for about $8 grand. That would be pretty awesome. I'ill probably call SpeedInc here in Schaumburg and see what kind of similar deal they can come up with just for grins.

Fair enough. Are you looking for 550hp at the crank or at the wheels?

Im looking for 550 at the crank and maybe a little more if I end up going 427.

This is what currently has my attention: http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=828&catid=85

Although, ask me again tomorrow and that'll probably change. lol

One of these will do wonders :)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magnuson-TVS-1900-supercharger-BLOWER-for-GM-6-0L-6-2L_W0QQitemZ110493531870QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item19b9ed7ede

or this one :)

and that'll leav plenty of money for heads, cam, etc

I would look around at some local shops...I know you have nickeys in the Chicago area that works with lsx motors. This way the tunign and all can be done all at once. If its a 6.0L motor, I've seen amazing results iwth head and cam packages, or you can stroke the motor and you'll be well over what you're aiming for
