So with that Trans brake kit and a manual valve body I wouldn't need the computer and it will still be fully functional including the torque converter clutch? A lot of guys run the 200r4 out of the grand nationals is that just as strong?

a 4l80e is way stronger than a 700r4 or a 200r4. If you run the Transgo full manual shift kit you do not need a computer for the 4l80e trans. It is not a complete valve body change. i don't know about a trans brake and i doubt you would be able to run a lock-up convertor if you eliminated the computer.

The 2004R can be built to handle about 800 HP/TQ max. But, with all the upgraded Billet parts needed, the price would be close to the 4L80E price.
The 80E's TCC can be controlled with a Toggle switch similar to the 2004R/700R4, the wiring will be different tho'.
TCC = Torque Converter Clutch.

CK's Trans Brake is well designed.

Jake also has 4L80Es, Controllers and Trans Brakes.

And don't forget Lonnie at EA.
