Would anyone be able to tell me how a 15 x 8 w 4" bs would fit on a 79 Bu with a 28 x 11.5? I do not won't any rubbing and do not want to trim anything.

Front 15x4.5 with 155-80-15 BFG Radial TA

Rear 15x8 4inch backspace 275-60-15 BFG Radial TA

only had to cut the fender lip down. Rears fit perfect.

rear: 15x8 w/ 4.5" b/s Weld draglites w/ a 1/2" spacer, with 27x10.5 MT Et streets stock frame stock wheel wells(with lots of room!!)

front: 15x5 Weld draglites, w/ 195 65 R15 radials

Weld Prostar rim: 15 x 8 with 4.5" backspace
Cooper tire: 255-60-R15

No rubbing. There is probably a quarter of inch clearance between the tire and the frame rail.

I don't remember posting this here, so here is my new wheel and tire combo. Greg Weld Dragstar 15x3.5 fronts with 165r15 cheapo tires, Greg Weld Dragstar 15x10 on 5.5 inch backspace rears with 28x12.5 M/T ET Streets. Frame is notched, stock tubs are intact, but clearanced with a BFH.
