Mounted my BBC into the 80 elco today and thought WTH, I'll try em. I have a set of BBC truck exaust manifolds,
found in 1/2T + up to motor homes .I put them on as the motor was going in w a couple bolts and D_mn! They fit like a factory job. Common as nails and usually pretty cheap, the air pump nozzle styles in particular,(simply remove the nozzles and plug w pipe plugs. Sometimes they are not so simple to get out you may need heat.) Now I can route my exaust then DRIVE the car while saving for headers OR just wait for a reasonably priced NON leaker (tick, tick, tick)set to be released
OR have these CNC ported like the Mopar stock race guys do. Probably the later. Not all of us like the noise, leaks and durability issues headers inherantly have. No I am NOT a beginner ,just getting old. I guess I am tired of all the racket under the hood and in the car. 30-70 bux a set compared to 500 clams makes this pretty attractive.
