5.3 heads are bad on a 5.7 block,find a decent LS1 98 and up shortblock with a good cam and port the heads I have a GTO but the SS in the sig made 430rwhp and it was my ****ing daily driver son.Big power can be made with those heads.I have seen 500 plus HP on dynos.I want to say the casting #'s are 706,652.

Oh did i mention that i paid $60.00 for a set of bare5.3 LS1 heads from a junkyard?

I also was able to get a 5.3 block bored, swapped in the LS1 rota assy, then i took the truck heads which i believe are the 706 castings and i had the chambers opened up to accept the stock LS1 valves with Comp springs. Should be pretty sweet when finished.
