lincoln mark 7 8.8

hey whats going on guys i have a quick question has any one used a lincoln mark7 8.8 rear end and how much difference is there between the mustang and it i have herd that they are 1 inch wider than the stangs will this be a problem i am planning on a mini tub with 15/10 weld 5.5 back spacing with a micky 295/65/15 rapped around it. any help would be appreciated

well a fox body mustang rear is 3/4(or maybe 1.5in total) of a in wider then a g body 7.5 and a mark 7 is even wider then that. so a 10in wide wheel with a 5.5 fits great on a stock width rearend you will need 6.5 or little less for it to work on a mustang rear, so a mark 7 and a 10in wide wheel just sounds like it will be problems but i could be wrong. I no they will fit in the car though just maybe not with that wide of a wheel.

I just measured mine and it's 62" overall. Now I just need to find how wide the factory rear is. I'm wanting to do a 8.8 conversion.
