I recently purchased 2 weld draglites for my el camino. they are 4.5" back spacing and they are too close to the frame rail. I am purchasing 1/2" wheel spacers to make them fit. Will I need longer wheel studs?

I'm interested in this answer too.

Which ones are you going to use?

To be legal at the track with stock length studs, yes.

But they will work for the street and time being with stock studs? i have sst lugs with the long shank. With a 1/2" spacer, what size stud should I look to purchase?

They'll work temporarily. The stock studs on my car ended up being about 1/8" short of reaching the head of the lugnut with a similar spacer at the time. With draglites though, you have plenty of thread engagement because of the extended shank lugnuts you have to use.

with_stupid.gif My brother has the same deal with his 'bu, But it now has a MOSER 9 with the long studs, still has the 1/2 spacers though.

ihra and nhra rear spacer will not pass tech chuck

Since when? Spacers should pass just fine, ADAPTERS will not pass, i.e the adapter bolts up to the existing studs, and the wheels bolt to the adapter studs.
