It's the zinc plating..lol
If you zinc plate anything it will look kewl

Kevin i have a bolt in 9" i see that u dont offer a kit for that rear end is it not needed with a 9" or can i use the one for the gn axle

You can use the GN kit.

A lot of 9" rears have different mounting point heights so my kit may be able to help but I haven't plotted any of them to see what they look like.
