It is something like that, your motor builds power down low your cam is all done by 6000. 4.30's would be something i would put behind a car that had a cam that built power to 6800 to 7300. With the cam you got I would launch around 3500 and shift around 5500 to 5800. I think though your gonna have trouble launching around that with those gears and keeping traction. Do you like driving the car on the street with gears?

I haven't installed the Ford 9" yet, waiting on drum brake backing plates, but I think the car should benefit from some better gears b/c i have 3.23s now. But I understand what you're saying now. glad i got the 9" cause I can experiment with different third members. But I do plan on getting some better heads and a little more top end cam soon anyway.
