ok this might be simple for some, but i have to ask. Building a drag only car what are the advantages of tube "A" arms upper and lower for a front end on a 78 malibu? Or are there only minimal advantages for a drag car and more for a street car? any and all help thanks. Larry

Two main reasons for me. Weight loss is one, more caster is another.
I ran stock a-arms for years from a 12 second ride to when it ran mid 9's. With the new combination, I went for the TRZ a-arms to take weight out, but also knowing it would run 150+ mph, top end stability was a priority, so the 7.5 degrees of caster makes it drive nice and straight at speed.

Tubular a arms give you a weight reduction plus some added header clearance. Our arms come ready to install with complete with ball joints and billet crossshafts and sway bar mounting tabs. You can either use your stock spring setup or go to the QA1 pro coil system. Here is a link top our site so you can see what BMR has to offer.

Thanks everyone. Only running low 12s now so stock is still good new motor wont get built for 2 more years (big plans little money) as this winter is the new 9 inch rear (again one big purchase a year) but again thanks. Larry
I run low 10s on stock control arms. The weight savings is like 10-12 lbs or somthing like that. I cannot justify spending 780-1200 bucks for 10 lbs. To drop weight im planning on hunting for an aluminum radiator support and replacing my GM 990 iron heads with some Dart heads Also going from my monster aluminum radiator from when it was a street car to a smaller drag race aluminum radiator
I am always looking for deals on tubular a-arms... There are some really nice products out there, just cant see spending big $$ on my car when I am looking at 7.50's in the 1/8th! Spend my money making it faster!!

I myself put off purchasing thre a-arms till I really needed to take weight out of the car.
In addition to the tubular a-arms, I later swapped from conventional coil springs to a true Afco coil over...weight loss with that coversion was 19 lbs alone...but coil overs are not for every combination.
i have a brand new set of pa racing front upper and lower control arms i think the top ones need to be flipped around and the bottoms look like there both for the same side i'll sell them cheap
