ok griz..this is a big help for me anyway..my car sits similar like yours did..and i have an alum headed.sbc.....i like the look of the trick springs....and how much better does it transfer weight????..i bet alot...what are the 60ft times etc..any improvement?..do you street drive it?..thanks!!

the trick springs helped a little, but not as much as i thought they would. my 60' times didn't change much at all with the switch (maybe 0.02-0.03). the biggest improvement with the trick springs was the change in ride height. i don't drive it on the street anymore, but only because i don't have time...so i don't bother with insuring it for street use.

wow, I didn't realize the stock v6 springs give you such a high ride height. Not sure if mine were worn out, but I only cut 2/3 of a coil out of my v6 springs and got a huge drop w/ an iron headed sbc:

not sure if there's a difference in springs, but my car origionally had a 4.3 V6 with a/c. the rears were variable rate coils.

appsk8r ..how are those springs when you launch?..does it rise much?
griz..is your pic with the trick springs?..i like the wheels up..thats my goal!

It comes up a good 4-5" inches, and hard enough with street tires to throw my battery out of the tray the last time I was at the track. It does help that I have Comp Eng drag shock in the front.

Here's a pic of mine , it has a small block iron headed 355. The car is as it came from the factory. V-6 everything. I love the front but I'm thinking of replacing the front with all new v-6 stuff and redoing the rear in all new V-6 stuff just going to cut a coil or two out. Oh and I do have a airbag on the pass. side.

yea see i like how your front sits ..mine is waaaay high....i think i might try the v-6 springs..maybe a coil cut down some?
