Yes they did :) It's the exact same motor I believe (maybe forged internals), the intake/fuel system is different, but I think that's it.

I'd love to hear how your buddy does with his stroker 4.3. Is he using a 3.75in stroke (making his engine 3/4 of a 383) or something else?

In theroy one could make a 310 C.I. v6 out of a 4.3. With a stroker crank and bored out .060.

Waitaminute! Are you saying there's a 4.00in stroke crank available for the 4.3? :shock: At first I assumed that you were thinking with a 3.75in stroke, but my calcs came to 291 C.I. . Man, a 4.06X4.00 would be something else, sort of what I'd expect if the old Pontiac division built V6s.

Search for INTENSE-Racing Grand Prix (think it was a 99 fwd) It held/holds the record as the first 3800 in the 8's :shock:
