Going to tape off the silver tonight so I can lay down the darker silver/gray tomorrow.
I'll post more pictures when I'm done.

So, did you end up cutting up some Volkswagen wheels to make your skinnies out of?

I ended up painting mine with 'dull aluminum' & 'cast iron' and they turned out looking pretty good. I went back and red, had made, who ended up making them for you?

Bent...

Both windshield corners have a little damage, but the shop I got it from said don't worry about it, they'll make it all nice when the time comes. The sides are a little wierd, too. There's a couple spot welds missing, so the top & bottom panels are spread a little at the seams. Again, no biggie. The toughest part was installing the pop-up spring...

I wanted to do the Volkswagen wheel thing, but I could not find a single Volkswagen wheel in my area. I ended up sending them out to Pico Wheel and Tire. They did a great job, it took longer to ship the wheels than it did for them to do the work.

That steel hood looks good, I just wish it were 2-1/2 or 3 inch and I would have one...

Anyway, slow progress on the cheap orange car, today netted some cheap exhaust:
craigslist.org ad today

"3 inch flows 40 series, six months old. dumps welded on. call 918-***-xxxx"

When I called and asked what it was off of, he says '79 Malibu. I was on the hook.

Installed new upper control arm bushings. Still have a noise that sounds like metal hitting metal when I go into a turn.
