The battery in my truck was going dead sitting in storage, it's barely over a year old. I'm pretty sure it's from the amps, I'm guessing the capacitors have a minor leak and provide enough draw to drain the battery. The only other non-stock thing in the truck is an aftermarket deck... might be worth a look if you're running aftermarket audio equipment.

I do have an amp, but with the amp power wire disconnected, the battery still drains. Something in the factory wiring. Just have to spend to the time to trace it.
I dont think so, even replaced it last year with a higher amp unit to get ready for my electric fans, same as before with stock unit. But I wont rule it out til i check it over. I'm betting it's something under the dash.
Started putting the interior back in after paiting and adding new replacemant parts. Only thing new was rear speaker tray cover. My plastics came out good after paint and still good shape other than the front side of side window. This is a trick I have picked up over the years building these cars. Most of the time that area is sun faded and warp, also turning to plastic dust! I have always used small 5/16 rubber hose to fix the flaking and warp as you can see pics. Maybe helpful tip for some of you.

Said "Hi" to my purple Bu sitting in the garage, and took another peek at my TCI 6X trans, still sitting in it's box where I sat it there a month ago. Stupid snow! Can't wait to get working on my other Malibu! And, to drive my purple one again!!
I'm anxious to hear how that trans works out. After seeing its ratios though I think I want something with a wider total spread, at least in my truck... a lighter G-Body would probably be ok.

^^^^^^^^I like the idea of mounting the ignition box there! Doober, I can't wait to get my other Bu done, so I can see how the trans acts, too. I'm excited, to say the least! Totally new drivetrain...don't know what to expect, but it should be pretty fast.
