finally had some time, started pulling stuff off the engine from the 2 door so I can replace the oil pan and timing chain gasket. found 1 issue so far, i'll start a thread in the gallery later.

I pulled the passenger front fed and welded the trim holes shut. I don't plan to have any chrome on the lower part of the Elk.
For the lsat month i've been doing this. Every panel except the hood needed some.I just have the lower passenger door and rocker panel left. Now it's to hot to paint :cry:78elk said:
Had a set of custom header reducers fabbed by a local exhaust shop. Guy that did the work is a 40+ year veteran at it and a dedicated gearhead. He claims a buddy of his has the 3rd set produced out of 250 of the original Ardun Overhead Valve Hemi Head Conversion for the Ford flathead. The guy that designed em was Zora Arkus-Duntov, father of the the Chevrolet Corvette. Pretty interesting stuff. here's a link to more info. if interested.

I put body filler on top of the cab. I had tried to pull it with my stud puller. I have pulled little blemishes and just starting these areas so I can paint in September or October. This my first project, I am learning lots.
Finally got around to installing the new umbrella seals and Edelbrock springs on the 267. Then got most of the clean up ready for paint. Still need probably another solid night of scrubbing to be ready for paint. Also picked up the fuel pressure regulator i needed as well.
Rigged up a fuel system on the 267 and got it started tonight to set the valves. Runs really good. Fires right up. I cannot wait to get it in the car this weekend so i can put her back on the road sometime next week.
Finally got around to installing my Accufab dash cap I bought about 3 years ago. Been painting interior also.
I was putting body filler on quarter panel pass. side. Hope it's close. Put body filler on pillar to cover up sharp edges of new quarter panel.
