1 day of 13 launches with a clutch on slicks at 3000-4000 (Englishtown). It did not break and is still in use.

20yrs ago a 7.5 left me on stranded after blowwing up behind a wore out smog Olds 455. Swapped in an A-body 8.5 and havent worried about it since. Money spent on the 7.5 is better off saved until you have enough $$ for something better.

I've broken spider gears, 2 mini spools, a ring and pinion, and an axle -- behing a hydraulic cam 283 running low 8s in the 1/8th with a TH350. 12 bolt installed now. They're junk. It took me longer than many to realize it.
